Plyful hand makes all their products on Mount Macedon, Victoria, and is comprised of Daniel (Dad - The maker)and Rafferty (Son - The tester).
Daniel, a teacher and designer, started making wood toys based on ideas and concepts Rafferty would talk about before going to bed.
In 2020, Rafferty's first year of Primary School, Daniel wanted to be home in that tricky transition in his life to best support Raff, so is using Plyful as an excuse to just that! Make toys in-between drop-off and pickup (and the odd Parent Reading session) - What more could you want?
Daniel's background includes working in toy, graphic and video game design, the arts and education (Primary, Secondary, Tertiary ) both locally and internationally. His past few roles have been for The AFL, The National Gallery of Victoria, and most recently, teaching Engineering and Design at La Trobe University.
Rafferty's background involves being born 5 years ago. Not much has happened since then, but he is pretty darn good at LEGO, coming up with 'creations', collecting rocks, and is currently a "2 Star Colourer" (which is apparently staying inside the lines most of the time).
